A 24-year-old Rwandan woman, Liliane Mugabekazi who was arrested on August 7 after attending a concert wearing a sheer dress has been charged to court for indecent dressing.
Photos of the young lady became popular online a few days after she was at a concert by a popular French musician

“It is on these serious grounds that we ask the court to remand Mugabekazi for 30 days. She is suspected to have committed public indecency,” the spokesman for the prosecution, Faustin Nkusi, told AFP and added that the court would announce on Tuesday whether she would receive bail.
The arrest has generated lots of discussions online as to whether it was a crime or not for a young woman to dress as such.
Rwanda’s ambassador to Britain Busingye Johnston had in a tweet on his verified handle condemned Liliane’s mode of dressing.
“The current issue of our young men and women who drink and drug themselves unconscious, appear in public naked is objectionable.” He wrote.
