EXECUTIVES OF THE FACULTY OF APPLIED SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY (FAST) MEETS PRESIDENTS OF FIVE DIFFERENT DEPARTMENT TO DELIBERATE ON HOW TO AMELIORATE SITUATIONS ON KOFORIDUA TECHNICAL UNIVERSITY

 On the 2ND of April,2022, the executive members of the Faculty of Applied Science and Technology in Koforidua Technical University had a short meeting with the presidents of the department of computer science, fashion and textiles, applied math and statistics, hospitality and post-harvest and food technology.

The issues deliberated on, were on the plans the current administration has for its students.

The plans run through administration to the welfare of the students in the faculty and the whole school populace.

The plans were discussed are as follows:

1. organization of entrepreneurship programs in for the students of the aforementioned and any other student interested. These programs will include, seminars, workshops and
2. creation of communities in the faculty to teach skills related to the course studied in the various departments in the faculty to enhance them make some money for themselves.

iii. Assisting students in getting companies for internships and embarking on industrial trips.

1. Faculty week celebration
2. Sporting activities such soccer, basketball and volleyball.
3. health walk, health seminars and screening of the body of their students.

vii. ways in getting funds for the departments through engaging in businesses and other sources

Though the executives are in the process to get identification documents for their students, the did not include it to the discussion.

The executives are also working on getting a bank account for the faculty in order to manage the funds of the faculty.

The meeting was graced by various departmental presidents in the faculty.

The chairperson for the meeting was the vice president for the faculty, H.E Bumas lord-Adem.

Most executives made it to the meeting, and it was a great experience.

We hope they do their best for their students as they have promised.
