Ghana National Union of Technical Students commenced it 31st annual delegates conference on the 17th of November 2023 at Bolgatanga Technical university in the Upper East region of Ghana. The union comprises of all the 10 Technical Universities in Ghana but surprisingly Ho Technical University was absent due to unknown reason. Most Schools arrived on Friday, 17th November before noon.
The union was silent on the feeding of it members from the start of the congress. Starting on the arrival day all delegates were compelled to feed themselves which is clearly against the responsibility of the union. Students of various schools had to hustle their way out to be able to get food to be able to survive that day.
The members were again fed only twice the next day avoiding the provision of supper to it members which is clearly bad. The capitation paid by this various Technical Universities to the union to provides all this services to be enjoyed during congress.
The 31st annual residential delegates congress was not only devoid of proper feeding but also poor accommodation given to it members. It is really bad to see the state of rooms been handed to this institutions during the congress. The National Executive Council of the Ghana National Union of Technical Students has really failed in the organization of its 31st annual residential delegates congress.
