Months ago when the news of Ghanaian footballer Thomas Partey’s conversion to Islam hit the Internet many football lovers and fans curiously wondered why the change of religion because many knew him to be a Christian.
In a recent interview with award winning Journalist Nana Aba, the footballer finally let the cat out of the bag.
Thomas Partey revealed that he decided to change religion(become a Muslim) because of a lady he met.
He added that this lady who is his wife now is a Muslim and he had no option but to convert because that was the request of the lady’s family.
In a video is posted, he said “I have a girl I love, I know my side chics will leave me but it’s no problem… I grew up with Muslims so at the end of the day it’s the same thing”.
So if you were wondering why Partey converted to Islam and guessed “woman power”, you had it right 😂
