Glory beckons, and the desire to conquer and boast the 2023 National Science and Maths Quiz Champions.
The Nine schools to wrestle for one of the three finals spots have been decided.
Ashanti Region has three of the contenders, St. Louis SHS, Opoku Ware School and Prempeh College. The Greater Accra region has two: Achimota School and defending champions, PRESEC Legon.
The Central region also has two: Wesley Girls’ High School and Mfantsipim School, while the Volta and Eastern regions have a candidate each – Keta SHTS and Pope John SHS & Seminary respectively.
By the way, did you notice the schools still in the reckoning are all Ghana Education Service category-A-rated schools, as though to emphasize boxing legend ‘Professor’ Azumah Nelson’s famous: “Nobody is called professor for nothing” retort?
Anyway, here is what to expect on Thursday, October 19, when the 2023 NSMQ semi-finals are held from the Saarah-Mensah Auditorium, KNUST to determine which three schools will punch the hardest.
